Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass 'geode' bowl/dish, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. These bowls were made by several manufacturers, including Archimede Seguso and Cenedese. Very similar items by these makers are shown in the book Italian Glass: Century 20 by Leslie Pina. In a stunning combination of dark reddish brown glass cased in opaque white lattimo glass, which is further encased in uranium yellow green glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. Glows bright green in UV light!

Measures approx 1.5 inches tall by 3 inches in diameter at widest point.


Has a couple of tiny fleabites to the rim, and a small faint bruise mark also to the rim. All shown in final pictures.
