Arte Nuova Pustetto & Zanetti Murano Uranium Green Sommerso Glass Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian organic glass vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Made by Arte Nuova in the 1950's/60's, unmarked. This exact same design can be found online with a label which reads "Arte Nuova Murano, Grand Prize, Genuine Venetian Glass, World Fair Brussels 1958". The factory was open only for a relatively short time, from 1954 to 1965. In a stunning combination of green glass encased in uranium yellow glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the Venetian developed sommerso technique. Glows bright green in UV light.

Measures approx 7.5 inches tall by 3 inches in diameter at widest point.
