SIGNED L. Onesto Oball Murano Blue Sommerso Glass Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful chunky, and very heavy (2.3kg unpacked), Venetian glass vase. Made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy, by the Oball glassworks, signed to base by the founder Luigi Onesto, and still bears the original factory label. In a stunning combination of blue glass cased in a band of paler blue glass, which is further encased in a very thick layer of clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 7.5 inches tall by 5.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

No chips or cracks, other than a tiny fleabite or scuff mark near the label, and a few surface scratches, all shown in final three pictures.
