Arte Nuova Pustetto & Zanetti Murano Red & Uranium Sommerso Glass Bowl

Description

This is a magnificent 1950/60's Venetian sculptural glass ashtray bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of red glass encased in uranium yellow glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the Venetian developed sommerso technique. Glows bright green in UV light. Made by Arte Nuova / Pustetto & Zanetti, unmarked. The same design can be found online with their factory label with reads "Arte Nuova Murano, Grand Prize, Genuine Venetian Glass, World Fair Brussels 1958".
