Description

Here is a wonderful large and heavy (1.5kg unpacked) art glass vase, most likely made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of blue glass encased in turquoise glass, which is further encased in a thick layer of clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. Has an unusual star shaped base, something I've not seen before in this style of sommerso vase.

Size

Measures approx 8 inches tall by 5.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
