Murano/Sommerso Red + Amber Glass Perfume/Scent Bottle

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass perfume/scent bottle, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of ruby red glass cased in amber glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. The stopper is cased in green glass instead of amber. Probably not the original stopper, as the colour normally matches the base, but the shape is correct.

Measures approx 8.5 inches tall by 3.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
