Murano/Venetian Blue & Uranium Green Sommerso Glass Stem Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass stem vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of blue glass cased in uranium yellow green glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. The small amounts of Uranium in the glass cause this vase to glow a brilliant bright green in UV light.

Measures approx 7.5 inches tall by 3.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a few manufacturing flaws and surface scratches.
