Salviati Latticino/Zanfirico & Aventurine Glass Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950's Venetian glass bowl/dish, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Decorated with alternating stripes of white criss-cross latticino/zanfirico strands, some trimmed in thick copper aventurine. Made by Salviati, similar items are shown in the book "Italian Glass - Century 20" by Leslie Pina, pages 138 & 139.

Size

Measures approx 2.75 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
