Murano / Venetian Bubbly Bollicine Green Glass Vintage Bowl

Description

This is a magnificent 1950/60's Venetian green glass biomorphic bowl / ashtray, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. The glass is made up of thousands of tiny air bubbles to give a frothy effect, known as the bollicine technique, similar to pulegoso but covered in a clear layer of glass.

Size

Measures approx 1.75 inches tall by 8.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a couple of small black specks in the glass near the rim, from the manufacturing process, shown in final picture.
