Ferro & Lazzarini Murano Aventurine Striped Glass Paperweight

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass paperweight, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy, most likely by the Ferro & Lazzarini factory. No markings or labels, but I am reliably informed of the factory by members of a facebook paperweights group. A similar design signed "Ferro, Murano" can also be found online. In a stunning combination of clear glass filled with copper aventurine and black spiralling stripes.

Size

Measures approx 2.75 inches tall by 2.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks. Has a few intact air bubbles, perfectly normal for hand blown glass, see pictures.
