LABELLED Formia Murano Tutti Frutti Style Pink Glass Bowl

Description

Here is a Venetian freeform pink glass "tutti-frutti" style bowl/ashtray, with silver leaf inclusions and large multi coloured murrines. Made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy, by Formia, labelled. Formia is short for Formentello and Mian (For - Mia), which is the names of the two master glassblowers that founded the factory in 1962. Since 2009 the factory name has changed from Formia, to Formia International, and now the current Fornace Mian.
