Description
This is a magnificent 1950's/60's Venetian freeform glass bowl / ashtray, made on the island of
Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of black & clear encased glass, with
silver leaf inclusions and multicoloured canes. Most likely made by the
Fratelli Toso factory, due to similar bowls with the same style of hollowed canes, bearing a
"Castle" import label, which is almost always associated with Fratelli Toso production. Ref: see [
