Ferro & Lazzarini Murano Red & Amber Sommerso Glass Pear

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass pear paperweight / sculpture, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy, by the Ferro & Lazzarini factory, labelled. Examples of a slightly larger version of this label can be found online, with the factory name included. In a stunning combination of red glass cased in amber glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Measures approx 4.5 inches tall by 2.5 inches in diameter at widest point.
