Murano Faceted Green & Blue Sommerso Glass Block Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This style of glassware is usually attributed to Mandruzzato, although other manufacturers have made similar items, including Oball, Campanella and V. Nason. In a stunning combination of green glass cased in a band of amber glass, followed by a band of blue glass, which is further encased in an angular block of clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 2.75 inches tall by 4 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a snall nick to one side edge and signs of possible restoration to some edges, all shown in final pictures.
