Arte Nuova Pustetto & Zanetti Murano Sommerso Pink & Yellow Glass Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Made by Arte Nuova in the 1950's/60's, unmarked. A larger version of this design can be found online, baring labels which read "Arte Nuova Murano, Grand Prize, Genuine Venetian Glass, World Fair Brussels 1958". Other examples from this range have a label which reads "Arte Nuova Murano, Pustetto & Zanetti, Made in Italy". The factory was open only for a relatively short time, from 1954 to 1965. In a stunning combination of pink glass encased in uranium yellow green glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the Venetian developed sommerso technique. Glows bright green in UV light.
