Ferro & Lazzarini Murano Red & Amber Sommerso Glass Vase

Here is a wonderful Venetian organic glass vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Attributed to Ferro & Lazzarini, this design or one very close to it is shown in their catalogue. Reference: [click here]. In a stunning combination of red glass encased in amber glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the Venetian developed sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 10 inches tall by 4.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks. Has a couple of marks to the base rim, they look a little bit like small nicks but they are smooth and probably occurred during manufacture. Also has a couple of fine surface scratches. All shown in final pictures.
