SIGNED Kumela Finnish Glass & Metal Vase by Pentti Sarpaneva

Description

A stunning Scandinavian clear textured glass vase with slight yellowish tint, and patterned metal collar. Made by Kumela of Finland in the 1960's, and designed by Pentti Sarpaneva, signed to base.

Size

Measures approx 2.75 inches tall by 4 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a couple of nibbles to the rim, shown in final two pictures, and some age wear / pitting to the metal collar, see other pictures. The metal collar is removable, but is secure enough that it does not fall off, even if turned upside down. Underneath there is some glue remnants that originally attached the collar to the vase. I'm sure these could be removed and fresh glue added if needed, but I have left as is, as they still hold the collar in place just fine.
