LABELLED John Deacons Blue & Copper Aventurine Glass Vase

Description

A British blue mottled glass vase or deep bowl with copper aventurine inclusions. Made by John Deacons, and still bears the original label on the base.

Size

Measures approx 4.25 inches tall by 6 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

No chips or cracks, but there are signs of possible restoration to the rim where part of it is flattened instead of rounded, as though it has been ground and polished down, although there doesn't actually seem to be any glass missing, so this could just be a flaw from the way it was finished at the factory. I've tried to show this in the final picture.
