Skrdlovice #5647 Czech Green & Amber Glass Bowl by Jan Broz

Description

A stunning large and heavy Czech green + amber glass sculpture bowl. Made by the Skrdlovice glassworks, designed by Jan Broz in 1956, pattern number 5647. This piece is shown in the original Skrdlovice pattern book drawings, see last image (with kind permission, and copyright of Jindřich Pařík www.CzechGlassGuide.cz). The green layer of glass contains small amounts of uranium, and glows in UV light.

Size

Measures approx 2.75 inches tall by 12 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a couple of minor manufacturing flaws in the glass.
