Description
A stunning
Czech blue + pink cased glass sculpture vase.Made by the
Skrdlovice glassworks, from the
Blanka range, designed by
Emanuel Beránek in 1959, pattern number
5978. This piece is shown in the original Skrdlovice pattern book drawings, see last image (with kind permission, and copyright of Jindřich Pařík
www.CzechGlassGuide.cz). A very similar piece is shown in the 1966 Czech Glass Review. Still bears the original factory label.
Size
Measures approx 3.5 inches tall by 3.5 inches in diameter at widest point.
Condition
Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a tiny nick to the base rim, shown in final picture.
