Victorian Uranium Custard Glass Amber & Ivory Horn Vase

Description

A wonderful Victorian 1890's opaque custard glass 'horn' vase, with applied amber feet. Small amounts of uranium in the glass cause it to glow bright green in UV light. Custard glass was made by several Victorian era glass factories, including Stevens & Williams and Boulton & Mills from the Stourbridge area of England, and Czech/Bohemian maker Harrach.

Measures approx 4.5 inches tall by 3.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition other than a couple of small nibbles to the feet (which don't affect how the vase stands) and a couple of minute fleabites to the rim, all shown in final pictures.
