Description

A stunning Victorian 1890's British glass "thorn" vase. Consists of a twin stemmed tubular opalescent yellow green glass flower holder with rustic stylised tree root "feet", and pulled out thorns. A similar vase is shown in the book Victorian Decorative Glass by Mervyn Gulliver, page 98. Most likely made by John Walsh Walsh from Birmingham, England. Made in vaseline/uranium glass, which glows bright green in UV light.

Size

Measures approx 6 inches tall by 3 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a tiny fleabite to the tip of one of the feet. Amazingly, all the thorns seem to be intact.
