Thomas Webb Victorian Burmese Uranium Pink Glass Vase

Product Number: WS12406

 Sold / Reference

Description

A wonderful 1890's Victorian Stourbridge glass miniature vase. Made in pink + creamy yellow burmese glass, most likely by the British firm Thomas Webb & Sons. Small amounts of uranium in the glass cause it to glow bright green in UV light.

Please note:  Although this vase is obviously too small to hold a bunch of flowers, it is still classed as a vase.  Small vases like this were often used to hold flowerheads, or miniature "sweetpea" flowers, or simply used as decorative ornaments.

Size

Measures approx 4 inches tall by 2.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
