Jobling #11400 Pink Art Deco Glass Bird + Panel Vase

Description

A wonderful art deco pink glass 'Bird and Panel' vase. This design was originally made by British company Jobling in the 1930's, catalogue number 11400, and is featured in the book "A Collectors Guide to Jobling 1930's Decorative Glass", page 18. However, the same design is also shown in Sowerby's catalogue titled "List 39" from the 1950's. From a forum discussion on the Glass Message Board forum, it seems some of Jobling's moulds were sold off to other companies. So this design was made by both Jobling and Sowerby. However this vase has the British design number "Rd No 794907" impressed on the base, which was registered by James A Jobling & Co on 21st July 1934, confirming it to be an original Jobling example.

Measures approx 7.5 inches tall by 3.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
