Chinese Murano Style Pink & Blue Sommerso Glass Teardrop Paperweight

Description

Here is a wonderful, heavy (1.2 kg unpacked) pink, blue and clear glass teardrop shaped paperweight. Easily mistaken for Murano glass, indeed some sellers would like you to believe as such, in hopes of achieving a higher price, but this piece was actually made in China, probably in the last 10 - 20 years. Made using the Venetian developed sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 6.5 inches tall by 3.75 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a couple of tiny dots/ scuff marks to one side near the base, and a few tiny fleabites to the base rim, all shown in final pictures.
