LABELLED Romanian Retro Dark Red & White Glass Basket Bowl

Description

A 1970's striped glass basket shaped bowl, made in white glass encased in clear glass, with dark red stripes and internal casing. Manufacturer unknown, but made in Romania. Still bears the import label on the side, which reads "Made in Rumania". "Rumania" (and also "Roumania") was the English spelling for Romania up until around 1975. Almost always misdescribed as Murano when found on various online marketplace websites.
