MARKED Venini Murano Green & Yellow Glass Zanfirico Fazzoletto Vase

Description

Here is an exquisite 1950's Venetian purple & white glass "Fazzoletto" (handkerchief) vase. Made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy, by famous manufacturers Venini, designed by Paolo Venini in 1955. Made with alternating stripes of lattice criss cross zanfirico filigree strands. The vase bears their acid stamp manufacturing mark to the base, which reads: "Venini, Murano". I must stress that this mark is extremely hard to see, pretty much impossible unless you get the lighting just right. It is also only a partial mark due to limited surface area on the base. I have shown the mark as best I can in the final images. Experienced collectors will hopefully recognise it from other, clearer examples (see my other Venini items for comparison).

Measures approx 3.75 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
