MARKED Venini Murano Orange Glass 'Mezza Filigrana' Bowl by Carlo Scarpa

Description

Here is an exquisite 1950's Venetian orange & clear glass bowl with spiralling mezza filigrana pattern. Made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy, by famous manufacturers Venini, and bears their four line acid stamp manufacturing mark to the base, which reads: "Venini, Murano, Made in Italy". Designed by Carlo Scarpa in the 1930's, a vase in this pattern is shown in the book "Venini Catalogue Raisonne 1921-1986", page 133.

Measures approx 1.25 inches tall by 3.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

No chips or cracks other than a couple of minute fleabite nicks to the underside, shown in final picture.
