Mandruzzato Murano Faceted Green & Amber Sommerso Glass Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful chunky, heavy, part textured Venetian glass bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This design was made by Mandruzzato, and possibly other factories.  In a stunning combination of green glass cased in a band of blue glass, followed by a band of amber glass, which is further encased in an angular block of clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx. 2.5 inches tall by 6 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

No chips or cracks, but there are signs of possible minor restoration to a couple of the corners, where small chips may have been ground out. It could also have just left the factory this way, it is hard to know for sure. Shown in final pictures.
