Murano / Venetian Zanfirico & Aventurine Glass Miniature Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950's/60's Venetian glass miniature vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Decorated with alternating stripes of white criss-cross zanfirico strands and multicoloured ribbon filigree, some trimmed in copper aventurine.

Please note: Although this vase is obviously too small to hold a bunch of flowers, it is still classed as a vase. Small vases like this were often used to hold flower heads, or miniature "sweetpea" flowers, or simply used as decorative ornaments.

Measures approx 2.5 inches tall by 2 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
