Murano Vintage Zanfirico, Aventurine & Ribbon Filigree Glass Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass miniature vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Decorated with alternating stripes of white zanfirico lattice filigree, and pink, blue, green and yellow twisted ribbons, trimmed with fine copper aventurine.

Please note: Although this vase is obviously too small to hold a bunch of flowers, it is still classed as a vase. Small vases like this were often used to hold flowerheads, or miniature "sweetpea" flowers, or simply used as decorative ornaments.

Size

Measures approx 3.75 inches tall by 2.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
