Murano / Venetian Sommerso Red & Uranium Glass Vintage Stem Vase

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass stem vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Still bears the original retailer or importer label which reads "Paul's Products, E.P.P. & Co., New York, Est. 1898, Made in Italy". In a stunning combination of red glass encased in uranium yellow green glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. The small amounts of uranium in the glass cause this vase to glow bright green in UV light.

Measures approx 8.5 inches tall by 2.25 inches in diameter at widest point.
