Murano Large 2kg Pink & Blue Sommerso Glass Sculpture Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful large and heavy (1.9 kilos unpacked) Venetian organic glass vase, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy.  Possibly made by Arte Nuova in the 1950's/60's, unmarked. In a stunning combination of pink glass encased in blue glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the Venetian developed sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 4.5 inches tall by 13.75 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a few small surface scratches, shown in final pictures.
