LABELLED Picone Murano Faceted Green & Amber Sommerso Glass Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass triangular bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Still has the original label, quite worn and faded, which reads "Picone, Murano, Cristalli Molati a Mano, Made in Italy". I could not find much info on Picone, so I'm unsure if they were a factory or a retailer. In a stunning combination of green glass cased in a band of amber glass, which is further encased in an angular block of clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 2.75 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks.
