Arte Nuova Murano Purple & Blue Sommerso Glass Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful Venetian glass bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Made by Arte Nuova in the 1950's/60's, unmarked, but this design can be found online with a label which reads "Arte Nuova Murano, Pustetto & Zanetti, Made in Italy". In a stunning combination of purple glass cased in a band of blue glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 2.25 inches tall by 7.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a couple of small nicks to the inside rim and base rim, shown in final pictures, and a few minor surface scratches.
