Cristallo Venezia MCM Murano Red & Clear Sommerso Glass Bowl

Description

A Venetian organic glass sculpture bowl / ashtray, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Made by the Cristallo Venezia CCC glassworks. Very similar pieces can be found online with labels that read "Cristallo Venezia, CCC". In a stunning combination of orangey red glass encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 2.75 inches tall by 7.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a few tiny manufacturing flaws on the surface - smooth dimples caused by air bubbles, perfectly normal for hand blown glass, and a small area of discolouration to the base, all shown in final pictures.
