Barbini Murano Purple, White & Amber Glass Biomorphic Bowl

Description

This is a magnificent 1950/60's Venetian glass biomorphic bowl / ashtray, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Most likely made by Barbini. In a stunning combination of purple glass cased in a distinctive layer of opaque white lattimo glass, which is further encased in amber glass.

Size

Measures approx 3.5 inches tall by 4.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a few small surface scratches to the rim, and a couple of intact manufacturing air bubbles encased in the glass, all shown in final pictures.
