Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass duck sculpture, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Most likely made by the Barbini factory, a very similar design, in the same colours, but without the applied feet, with the factory label, can be seen in a Murano Faceook group. In a stunning combination of purple glass encased in blue glass, using the Venetian developed sommerso technique.

Size

Measures approx 4.75 inches tall by 5.75 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Has a flake chip to the tail, shown in final picture.
