Barbini Murano Vintage Red & Black Glass Gold Leaf Bowl

Description

This is a magnificent 1950/60's Venetian biomorphic glass bowl, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. Most likely made by Barbini. In a stunning combination of opaque red glass cased in black glass, with a wonderful controlled bubble effect known as 'a bolle' and gold leaf inclusions encased in the glass.

Measures approx 1.75 inches tall by 4.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks. Quite a bit of age wear to base, see photo.
