Description
Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian freeform glass bowl/ashtray, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This piece was made by Barovier & Toso, and designed by the renowned Italian designer Ercole Barovier. This piece is from the 'Zebrati' range.  In a stunning combination of clear cased glass with a green striped pattern, large controlled bubbles, and loads of Gold Leaf inclusions encased in the glass.

Please note:  the plastic stand is for display purposes only and is not included.

Size
Measures approx 2.75 inches tall by 7.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition
Has a long faint line to the underside, which looks like a crack, except it only goes less than a millimetre deep into the glass. It's also pretty much invisible unless you turn the bowl upside down and tilt it at just the right angle to catch the light. Shown in final picture.
