Murano / Venetian Red & Gold Leaf Glass Gondola Ashtray Bowl

Description

This is a magnificent 1950/60's Venetian glass bowl/ashtray in the shape of a gondola, one of the traditional rowing boats of Venice. Made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of red glass with applied clear glass decoration filled with gold leaf inclusions, and an applied black glass base.
