Murano Vintage Dark Red & Gold Leaf Glass Ashtray Bowl

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian glass bowl/ashtray, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. This piece is unmarked, but quite possibly made by Barovier & Toso. In a stunning combination of clear glass filled with gold leaf inclusions, and red stripes.

Measures approx 2.25 inches tall by 5.25 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a very minor manufacturing flaw - a couple of minute blobs of extra glass to the underside, shown in final picture.
