Vetreria Artistica Colonna Murano Red & Blue Sommerso Glass Lobed Bowl

Description

A large and heavy (1.4kg unpacked) Venetian organic glass sculpture bowl with large pulled lobes, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of orangey red and blue glass cased in blue glass, which is further encased in clear glass, using the Venetian developed sommerso technique. Made by the Vetreria Artistica Colonna factory, this design was shared in a Murano Facebook group with the factory label. Very similar items can be found in the JICO import catalogues. Measures approx 3.25 inches tall by 10 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a scratch to the inside, shown in final picture.
