LABELLED Vinciprova Murano Murrine Canes & Gold Leaf Glass Vase

Description

A beautiful clear glass small vase with gold leaf decoration, and multicoloured flower murrine canes. Made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy, by the Vinciprova factory, labelled.

Please note: Although this vase is obviously too small to hold a bunch of flowers, it is still classed as a vase. Small vases like this were often used to hold flower heads, or miniature "sweetpea" flowers, or simply used as decorative ornaments.

Size

Measures approx 4.25 inches tall by 2.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just some wear to the gold leaf finish, shown in final picture.
