Murano Venetian Red Glass & Silver Leaf Bowl / Ashtray

Description

Here is a wonderful 1950/60's Venetian freeform glass bowl/ashtray, made on the island of Murano, near Venice, Italy. In a stunning combination of red glass encased in clear glass, using the renowned Venetian sommerso technique. There is also lots of silver leaf cased in the glass.

Measures approx 2.5 inches tall by 5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a tiny nick to the rim, shown in final picture.
