Description

A stunning, large and very heavy (2.4 kg unpacked) Czech glass sculptural bowl. In a stunning combination of purple and green glass encased in blue glass. Made by the Skrdlovice glassworks, and still bears the original Jones & Co (JC) import label which reads "Hand Made, JC, Czechoslovakia". Designed by Jan Beránek in 1959, pattern number 5954. This piece is shown in the original Skrdlovice pattern book drawings, see last image (with kind permission, and copyright of Jindřich Pařík www.CzechGlassGuide.cz).

Size

Measures approx 4.25 inches tall by 9.55 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a tiny nick to the inside wall, and a few surface scratches to the inside, all shown in final pictures.
