Chřibská #240/5/20 Czech Pink & Blue Glass Bowl by Josef Hospodka

Description

A wonderful, large, and very heavy (1.5 kg unpacked) Czech glass sculptural bowl / ashtray. In a stunning combination of pink and blue glass encased in clear glass. Made by the Chřibská glassworks, designed by Josef Hospodka, pattern number 240/5/20. Shown in a 1970's Chřibská catalogue, and issue 12 of the 1964 Czech Glass Review, see last images (with kind permission, and copyright of Jindřich Pařík www.CzechGlassGuide.cz).

Size

Measures approx 4 inches tall by 7.75 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a really miniscule fleabite nick to the rim, at the tip of one of the pulled out cigarette rests, shown in final picture. Virtually impossible to spot and only mentioned for accuracy.
