Description

A wonderful, large, and very heavy (1.7 kilos unpacked) Czech glass sculptural bowl / ashtray. In a stunning combination of pink and orange glass encased in clear glass. Made by the Chřibská glassworks, designed by Josef Hospodka, pattern number 240/5/20. Shown in a 1970's Chřibská catalogue, and issue 12 of the 1964 Czech Glass Review, see last images (with kind permission, and copyright of Jindřich Pařík www.CzechGlassGuide.cz).

Size

Measures approx 4 inches tall by 7.5 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a couple of small surface scratches.
