Description

A wonderful, large, and very heavy (1.4 kilos unpacked) Czech glass sculptural bowl / ashtray. In a stunning combination of pink and orange glass encased in clear glass. Made by the Chřibská glassworks, designed by Josef Hospodka, pattern number 240/5/20. Shown in a 1970's Chřibská catalogue, and issue 12 of the 1964 Czech Glass Review, see last images (with kind permission, and copyright of Jindřich Pařík www.CzechGlassGuide.cz).

Size

Measures approx 3.5 inches tall by 7.75 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks, just a couple of small surface scratches.
