Mstisov Large Czech Glass Rhapsody Bowl by Frantisek Zemek

Description

A stunning large and very heavy (1.7kg unpacked) Czech glass biomorphic bowl / ashtray.  Made by the Mstisov glassworks, and designed by Frantisek Zemek in the 1950's/60's, part of his 'Rhapsody' range.  Similar items are shown in the book "Hi Sklo Lo Sklo" by Mark Hill, pages 66 + 67.

Size

Measures approx 3.75 inches tall by 13 inches in diameter at widest point.

Condition

Excellent condition, no chips or cracks other than a small nibble to the base rim, and a couple of small scratches to the underside of the blue lobed section, all shown in final pictures.
